The action & effects were great. Seems Indiana has not retired and can still get into dangerous situations, even though he has aged a bit for his line of work.
This movie a great story-line, just as mysterious as the others in which Indiana is in search of relics..etc that have been rumored to exist. Except for the ending in this latest film is a bit out there, going really sci-fi (X-files) with Aliens who landed on earth thousands of years ago. Not bad though & must se for Indiana Jones Fan.
I actually saw the original 3 films again just to get updated again.
I really enjoyed it, to tell you the truth. I know a lot of people have complained about the “alien” plot and the fact that it goes beyond the typical down-to-earth “believability” (I think I just made that word up) we normally find in an Indy Jones film.
Thing is, when was the series EVER believable? What, do these complainers see melting Nazis and monkeys saluting Hitler every waking day of their life?!
Didn’t think so!
Anyway, I thought the film was just a lot of fun. Sure, the dialogue tends to get pretty corny (“no, not space… the space BETWEEN the spaces”) and the ending is a little too long, but how can you deny the spirit and excitement of this movie, not to mention the top-notch performances from not-at-all-old Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett as one of the best villains of the year?
Okay, maybe the sugar got to me, but I had a great time.

If you are an Indie fan you will dig it. It was not the best, but he has still got it.

I rank it above Temple of Doom but below Raiders and Cruasade.

so nostaligic, but didn’t like the plot with aliens and there is no way anyone indy or not could have survived a nuclear blast like that…
